Ontario 499 Air Force Survival Knife

The Ontario Knife 499 Air Force Survival Knife has become an Ontario CLASSIC also used by US Armed Forces. The 5" plain edge blade has a .17" thickness with a flat bevel with swedge grind and an HRC of 50-55. A zinc phosphate finish over the tough high carbon 1095 steel helps protect from rust. Unique to the Ontario 499 Air Force Survival Knife is it's brown leather wrapped handle which is about 4.5" long and has an overall length of 9.5". The Ontario 499 Air Force Survival Knife carries on a belt loop with a brown leather sheath with a sharpening stone.
