Pathfinder 32 oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle and Nesting Cup Set

Pathfinder Gear

The GEN3 Pathfinder Wide mouth Stainless Steel Water Bottle and Nesting Cup were designed so the bottle will nest inside the cup for convenient and compact storage. Not all containers are created equal, and in a survival situation, unless your container can withstand direct fire for the purposes of boiling/disinfecting water, the effects of water borne pathogens are quickly going to add to your list of troubles. The wide mouth design of this bottle allows you to easily obtain water from the shallowest of water pools, which will help conserve precious calories and energy that can be used to aid in your rescue or to affect your own self-rescue.

The Pathfinder Wide mouth Stainless Steel Water Bottle was designed to hold exactly 32oz of liquid. The reason: Purification tablets are typically added to 32oz of water, that being the case, you can simply fill your bottle and add the tablets. No more measuring, no more worry. The nesting cup has foldable "bat wing" handles and measurement graduations laser etched on the inside.

    Good stuff

It's a steel bottle, I mean, kind of is what it is. That said, Idk if its thicker gauge or not but I had a Klean Kanteen single wall like this a while ago and it got dented pretty easily. This one just feels sturdier(?). Not sure, this things great though and the camping potential aspect makes me like it far more.

    Love it: But

Just tried it on a -20°C night to melt snow / boil water for dehydrated food. The bottom would work great in maybe +0°C conditions, but for wood burning below that, the time to boil, and the condensation that will form, then dripping into your fire, will make the setup very impractical. You'll spend all day just trying to get boiled water.

It's a great product! However, do not expect to use wood as fuel at <0°C, maybe you can push it for -10°C but I doubt it. For those temperatures I recommend pairing it with an alcohol stove or burner.

Hope I picked the five star

Received the item in a reasonable amount of time and was surprised as to how compact it was. The water bottle and nesting cup appear to be of high quality. Time will tell. Would recommend it.
